Mosdan
Home of the Bears, this is the most northern settlement in Eldend. Nestled on the band of the Imdari Lake, it is oven cold here, though the summers can be mild. The bears live in several villages around this forested area of pine trees.

Imdari Lake
Vast, deep, and cold, this lake freezes solid six months out of the year. When not covered in a thick layer of ice, these waters offer a wealth of life from fish and shellfish to aquatic plant life.

Chal Ice Flats (West)
The western end of the ice flats, this expanse can be treacherous to those unaccustomed to it's terrain and climate. Bitterly cold, the wind blows here almost constantly, but the rewards can be bountiful if you know where to look. Animals such as seal, walrus, and penguins will venture in form the far off coast during storms, seeking the shelter of the inland ice formations.

Lerany Dunes
A major route between Gravenhold and Truem, the dunes are far from a desert. Hundreds of years ago when vegetation was scarce, the soil eroded away, leaving bare sand behind. While vegetation has begun to grow back and is somewhat suitable for tougher grazing animals, wild storms have a tendency to kick up.

Denet Forest
A thick forest mixed of pines and leaf baring trees, there are those that find these woods too dark for their liking, though that doesn't seem to be the case for the wolves that live close by. Rich in prey if you know how to use the shadows to conceal yourself, it takes an experienced hunter to reap the benefits of this wood.

Gravenhold
Considered a city by some and a large village by others, the wolves do not believe in walls to keep the world at bay. They bear no roads between their houses and places of work, but those buildings are expansive and some even reach down to the shores of the nearby lake. They boast one of the largest stables in the world as well as some smaller, though extremely talented blacksmiths.

Lake Torim
The smallest lake of Eldend, Lake Torim has some of the most crystal clear water to be found. It's temperate climates lends to a hardy fish population. Passing across it's calm waters in canoes can cut out several hours out of travel time. Wolves on either ends of the lake are happy to lend out these sturdy boats.

Oldos Peak
One of the twin peaks, Oldos Peak is the taller of the two. It's top is covered with snow and ice, though it's side are forested, though the trees are largely spaced out. Moss grows densely on the rocks and rain frequents the slopes many days.

Mount Rynold
The brother to Oldos Peak, the mountain is rocky and harsh to travel. Stories claim that there are gems and precious metals below the surface, though this has never been proven or denied as it is so far away from the Emvere Caverns. Rams and Ewes call the cliffs home.

Nalran
A quaint and simple city owned by the Leopards, the surrounding area is dotted with small farms. It's houses are built from wood and natural stone, usually with private stables and shops attached to the homes. The inns are warm and welcoming with large courtyards lined with exotic flowers.

Inaban Grassland
An expansive, warm grassland, there is a wealth of grazing animals that call this place home. It can be extremely hot during the summer months and the grass can be dry, leading to to wild fires. Pools of water dot the landscape and provide watering holes for the wildlife and travelers.

Athere
A rigid, harsh city forged from metal and stone, there is little natural about this Hyena ruled place. As grim as the people that inhabit it, there are not many accommodations for travelers and the market is as lively as a grave.

Truem
Home to the regal tigers, the walls of Truem are tall and wide, sandy in color. The area surrounding Truem is grassy, though the soil has a sandy quality to it, thought to be created when vegetation was sparse. The days are warm and the nights are freezing, leading to the high peaked homes that the tigers live in. The market here bustles every day from dawn and well into the night. Many different species may be found on it's stone streets.

Aseng Desert
Unlike the dunes to the west, the Aseng Desert may never recover from the damage that was done to it hundreds of years ago. It's frigid sands seems to go on for leagues in any direction, only the mountains on the horizon to break up the monotonous skyline.

By:
Chal Ice Flats (East)
The eastern extension of the Chal Ice Flats, this side is somewhat more rocky and even sparsely grassed in some places where the ice gives way. Some hardy grazers live here such as caribou.

Emwar Hills
The foothills of the mighty mountain range, it's grassy slopes are still chilly, but provide an alternate route across the north, though it does tend to put you further south than trekking through the desert. Small game rules here are the trees are widely spread and cover isn't plentiful for non-burrowing animals.

Yosa Pass
The only easily passable section through the mountains, this high mountain path was cut eons ago by massive glaciers. At points, the high pass descends into low, grassy valleys that are sided by towering cliffs.

Beltas
Far to the east lie Beltas, the home of the scholarly foxes. Surrounded by water, the city does not rely heavily on trade due to it's remote location. People travel far and wide to visit the city that lines it's stone streets with libraries, apothecaries, and stands that sell gems from the depths of the waters such as fresh water pearls. It's houses are quaint and well taken care of, often with flowers and other bushes outside their doors.

Sigha Lake
Dark and expansive, it's waters are murky and it's difficult to tell what lies below, even just off shore. Legends have long circled around this expansive body of water concerning large, dangerous beasts that call it's depths home. There are few that can reach the bottom to collect the shellfish, but the foxes have perfected the technique.

Verdan Shores
Soft, sandy beaches line the shores of the lake, an ideal respite for weary travelers. It's often warm here, though not unbearably so and the wide leafed trees provide shade for those who seek it. Sand crabs and birds call the shores home and feed on the fish in the shallow offshoots and tide pools.

Iwara City
Set back in the deep mountains, Iwara City is considered to be the most spectacular of them all. Barred off to the rest of the world by polished gold gates, it's streets are lined with a smooth, white marble with natural veins of gold that run through it. Much like the rest of the mountainside city, the homes are large and spacious, as is their palace that plays host to their market on the lower floors.

Emvere Caverns
Said to be the wealth of the Avians, this crystal lined cave is said to hold much more precious things in it's darkness. While some find such things, most are content with the marvelous crystals and their beauty. It is unclear who mined the caverns so many years ago, but it was indeed carved out by the hands of men.

Et'den Fields
Tall, golden grasses wave in the breeze on this expansive plain. Known for it's rich fruit bearing trees and berry plants and bushes, the grazers here are fat many months out of the year. The song birds that keep watch over the fields can be heard singing even through the night.

Lyeb Forest
A dense, dark jungle, the rains here seem to be endless as they come off the coast to the south. Life can be heard all around, though glimpses of it can be few and far between. it's easy to get lost in the thick underbrush.

Anlor
A city perched high in the trees, Anlor is home to the lions. It's buildings are built as massive tree houses and complex series of rope ladders, ramps, and bridges span through the tree tops. On the lower levels, the horses are housed, followed on the next level by homes. Perched midway up the trunks are the shops, work buildings and market. Above that are the barracks, topped only by the palace and it's out buildings which take an entire level on their own.

Dyovi Wastes
Scorching hot and lying at the very edge of the coast, the Dyovi wastes hold little life or reprieve besides the ocean to the south. It is the only passage in the south to cross from east to west.
